Thank you for attending the ICCEC 2016!
On behalf of the ICCEC Planning Commitee and the Center for Ethics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, we would like to thank all of the participants that attended the International Conference on Clinical Ethics Consultation 2016 in Washington, DC on May 19-22, 2016. With international participation from 26 countries, the meeting was a huge success that provided dynamic discussions, interesting case presentations, and interaction with key leaders in the field of clinical ethics.
We would like to thank both of our keynote speakers for their participation at ICCEC 2016. Dr. Anne-Marie Slowther, University of Warwick, UK and Dr. Daniel Callahan, Co-Founder of The Hastings Center, Garrison, NY provided new insight on ICCEC 2016's theme of Caring for the Ethically Complicated Patient. We cannot thank them enough for their time, energy, and participation at the meeting.
We look forward to seeing you at ICCEC 2017 in Singapore and ICCEC 2018 in Oxford, UK!
This conference was hosted by The Center for Ethics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC). The Center was created in 1982 by Dr. John J. Lynch and grew from an ethics committee to a well-recognized bioethics program in the community. Today, the Center for Ethics serves patients, families, clinicians, and administrators of MWHC through clinical ethics education, consultation, and policy involvement.
